I cannot believe that my stay in Costa Rica is almost done. What an amazing journey this has been. I am starting to have my lasts and it is quite sad. Today was the last day I had with my kiddos. I have enjoyed every minute I spent with them but today was different. When I came in this morning and told them it was my last day they were all really sad and kept saying no Megan no and coming up and giving me hugs. It made it even harder to say goodbye. Even the other girls that I worked with we're all sad to see me go. It was one of the best parts of the trip, working with these kiddos. They were amazing. I didn't understand everything they said all of the time but i could understand things here and there and we were stil able to communicate pretty well. Such a great experience to get the chance to play with these kiddos.
The last few afternoons have been pretty relaxing since I was going to Ana Frank in the mornings. Yesterday after a couple of the girls were done with their classes we went to see a movie because it was 2 tickets for the price of one. We picked Ice Age 4. When we got the tickets the lady told us that the movie was in Spanish with no English subtitles. What a great experience that was! I think I understood most of what was going on and I laughed at the appropriate times but I want to see it in English to make sure I actually knew what I was laughing about! After the movie we went to dinner across the street from the mall. It was a delicious Italian restaurant. Everyone was dying for some pasta and pizza. I got a pizza with zucchini and salmon and it was by far one of the best pizza I have had!
I only have a few more days left as they seemed to be just as packed with activities as the rest of my trip as been. Even though I am staying in San Jose this weekend we are planning on going to the National Theater, seeing a volcano, and possibly a fútbol game. It should be a lot of fun! A few of the girls are staying in town this weekend just for the fact that for a few of us it's our last weekend here in Costa Rica. So we are all going to spend time together.
Love,
Can't believe it's almost over
